September 1906 saw the completion of G F (Frank) Moore’s grand Edwardian mansion. The one hundred years since then will be celebrated on the weekend of October 27-28. A dinner on the evening of Friday 27 in Wanganui will have as its guest speaker the well known Ruud Kleinpaste “The Bug Man.” Ruud also worked with kiwi for many years in the Waitangi forest. Saturday will be an open day at Bushy Park when people will have the opportunity to relive memories and see at first hand all that has been achieved in the time the Park has been in the hands of, since 1962, Forest & Bird and, since 1994, Bushy Park Trust.
